Tier 2 Supporting Documents Redirected....Bootle Address

Post by sskhalid » Tue Jan 15, 2013 4:23 pm

Hi Everybody.

As like everyone I am also one of the person who got effected by Bootle address.

I have posted my documents yesterday and I checked this morning and it said the it has been redirected..but later on when i checked the royal mail tracking again...it shows this message:

A delivery was attempted for your item with reference AAXXXXXXGB
You can collect the item from your local enquiry office by bringing your card and proof of identification and address

Any idea about it..will the documents be delivered.?

Same problem

Post by Applicator » Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:00 pm

Apologies for the reply of the sort "I have the same problem too".

I sent my application yesterday using the Special delivery service (£5.90). Earlier today the tracking system indicated that the package was redirected by force to a new address which is what I was expecting. However, a couple of hours ago the message changed to " A delivery was attempted for your item with reference ...", same as yours.

I will check tomorrow again. If the item has been returned, I am going to send it again and ask the personal from the Post Office for advice on the best service for the delivery.

I will keep you posted on the outcome and, please, keep us posted about your situation. This thread may help in the future since this seems to be a recurrent issue.

Changed status

Day 2: an update.

The tracking system has updated the message, now it says

"Your item with reference xxxxxxx was delivered before 08:24 on 16/01/13.

As the item was redirected, it will have taken longer than usual. Please ensure the correct address is used for future mailings.

The electronic Proof of Delivery may not be available for this item yet. Please allow up to 72 hours after delivery before checking. "

I cannot "ensure the correct address" since this is provided by the UKBA. So, I have to continue waiting.

Thanks Applicator.

My tracking status also changed this morning. I could see the electronic proof as well. It has been delivered.

As the item was redirected, it will have taken longer than usual. Please ensure the correct address is used for future mailings.
The electronic Proof of Delivery may not be available for this item yet. Please allow up to 72 hours after delivery before checking.

but you can check it may be you can see it as well.

Totally in similar situation

Post by vinay1986 » Tue Jan 29, 2013 2:14 pm

Application sent to Bootle on 14 Jan but got redirected and delivered before 8.30 on 16th Jan 2013. I called the UKBA office and was told I might have to wait longer than 6 weeks since there is a big back-log. PS: They did not confirm if they received my Passport. This address has been wrong for more than a year now and they still have not changed it. Nor they agree to confirm if they received application. Its quite surprising how we people with genuine job, working hard paying taxes are treated alike...we are paying these people salary, not sitting home like many others and asking unemployment benefit...

Hi Vinay,

Just going through the In Country processing time sheet. there is one guy who posted the application on 5th Jan and received his biometric letter yesterday. So I think there is a load but they have started sending the biometric invitations. so hopefully we will get ours soon as well..

And according to UKBA thats the maximum time they said to you that it can take upto 6 weeks. I have posted on the same date as yours. so waiting as like you....

hope for the best.

Regards,
