Does ILR approval take longer if self employed?

Post by sanjacs » Thu Jan 17, 2013 2:50 pm

Hi Guys

We made a SET(O) postal application on 9th June, biometrics done on 6th Aug, but we're still waiting. Our MP has called but they said, its really 9 months thats when it becomes late...so they're still within target

Meanwhile, even August applicants are getting their approval by now. I think I heard something about a specialist team dealing with Self Employed...can someone confirm this?

We met all the requirements, but I guess, the longer you wait, the more your mind plays on you. We didnt include the kids in the application, but that may now be a mistake as I think they're attending to those with kids a bit faster.

Any general idea why this may be taking long?
