British Citizenship for my parents and myself

Post by LeonGX » Thu Jan 17, 2013 3:09 pm

Good Afternoon everybody,

This is my current situation so I was wondering if anybody else could help. My parents were both born in Jamaica in the 1940's and moved to England in the 1960's when England invited over the people of the British Commonwealth to stay and work etc. They have been here ever since and have not left once. So that is around 50 years. My brother was born here before 1985 so he is classed as a British Citizen. I was born after so I am not. If both my parents were to gain citizenship, would I automatically become one one?

P.S. My father tried to apply for citizenship through one of those immigrant consultant places and foolishly gave them £1500 and now I reckon they are just scamming him...

Thanks for any help people.
