Tier 1 General Extension with dependants & PEO appointme

My Visa is due expiry on 10th April 2013

I have 2 dependants living in the uk with me ( wife , kid)

Can i book a PEO appointment for myself at an earlier date say 20th Feb 2013 ? stating 0 dependants..

After my extension apply for the my wife and kid via POST in MARCH?
