I was on Tier-1 General visa, and I am the director and the only employee of my UK limited company, through which I did contracting in the UK. My Tier-1 visa has expired recently and I have returned to my home country. But for services provided to a Uk client before my visa expiry, some of the monies have been paid by the client into my UK business bank account after the visa expiry. Now I need to pay these monies to myself in the form of salary or dividend. Am I authroised to do so? And am I authorised to continue being director and employee of my UK limited company even after expiry of my entitlement to live/work in the UK? Am I supposed to pay myself these monies as soon as possible in whole amount and then close the company? Or, am I allowed to continue operating the company, and being its director-employee, and distribute these payments in the form of a low salary paid over a period of few months (so as to pay lower taxes)? Should I close the company soon or should I keep it open for longer time? Thanks
