Clarity on number of days out of UK for ILR

Post by amir3993 » Sat Jan 19, 2013 6:56 pm

Hi

I'm bit confused as to how many days one can be out of the country in one year and also 5 years in total in order to quality for ILR as per the new rules announced on 13-12-2012 for both main applicant and dependant.

Please see the below link.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... r/17-rules

Amendments to clarify the absences from the UK that are allowed during the continuous residence period for settlement for Tier 1 (General), Tier 2 and pre-points based system work routes (for example work permits, self-employment and business person).

Note: I'm on Tier 1 General visa completed my 3 years.

Can someone please advise.

Thanks
Amir

The new rules allow for 180 days per annual cycle - that 900 in total.
