Final checks before my appointment in Liverpool??

Post by imranh » Mon Jan 21, 2013 10:49 am

Hi Everyone

My appointment is in a couple of days in Liverpool and I was wondering what final checks should I make. My documentation is ready but so far I have made the following checks;

1) printed off appointment confirmation email
2) printed off details and map of the PEO office in Liverpool
3) got extra loose change for car parking etc etc
4) rang my bank to inform them about me paying a large amount (about £1300) during my appointment
5) taken a photocopy of each of my documents and completed set(m) form
6) taking a couple of blank set(m) forms just in case
7) decided against taking our baby boy to the appointment because he is British and not applying but also because of the snow and the hassle of taking him (if you know what I mean lol) so we will leave him at his aunties during our appointment

I think I have covered everything. Anything else that I should consider???

Many Thanks
Kind Regards

Make sure you carry a black pen and a highlighter. The first one is a real time saver if needed, and second one for convenience. And maybe some munchies.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

hah - there is always something you miss out. Thanks for that. I will take a couple of pens and a highlighter. I will take some food and drink and plus a packet of peanut m&m's (my favourite for travelling lol!!!!)

what do you think to my point 7) above - I dont want to take my boy but on the other hand maybe it will look more convincing/better if I take him!!!!

Thanks for replying back to me.

Re point 7, your decision not to bring him along would be wise. Your documents should speak for themselves. Your little child being there with you would only make you more anxious for no reason, IMO.

thanks for taking time out for your opinion/advice. much appreciated !!!!

one last thing I just remembered and want to share with people (as this question appears alot) was that after I booked this appointment I tried once unsuccessfully to reschedule the appointment. However there were no time slots available so I did not reschedule and hence my appointment remained the same and thus I decided to stick with this appointment. This appointment time still appears as it is on my account and I have not received any cancellation or rescheduling emails.

Therefore it appears that if you are thinking of rescheduling your appointment - DO NOT BE AFRAID TO DO SO because unless you reschedule successfully you will still keep your appointment time i.e. YOU WILL NOT LOSE YOUR SLOT . you can check your email for notifications.

I hope I make sense. More experienced members can either confirm or correct me on this. If this is incorrect please correct me but this is what i believe to be the case !!!!

No, you are not misleading anyone. Your current appointment will remain place until such a time that you successfully, select a new appointment slot and book it when using the reschedule facility.
