ILR query - 180 days - URGENT HELP REQUIRED

Post by vishal17jan » Mon Jan 21, 2013 2:04 pm

Dear Senior Members,

My Case - Tier 1 General visa, Completed 5 years and been out of UK for 260 days in total of 5 years all personal trips to backhome for family visit and been in contract jobs for last 5 years but none of my trips are above 90 days and above 180 days in each consecutive year.

As per the new rules, am I eligible for ILR?

Please guide me on this?

Regards
V

It depends on when your absences occurred during the 5 years. Please see Q17 under the following FAQ sticky to understand how to calculate your absences according to the new rules. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=79378

I presume you are applying on Jan 25th? If so, based on the figures mentioned you appear to be within the allowed 180 day annual absence threshold. Please verify that you meet all other requirements for ILR before applying as well.

Hi Peeps,

Can you please share your experience who has been granted ILR on Tier 1 G visa with more than 180 days in total of 5 years ( all personal trips ) after new rules announched on 13th Dec 2012?

Would appreciate if you can share your experience as it might help many of us?

Thanks in advance.
