unprecedented turnover

Hi Guys,
I have a bit of hope for everyone today- I have just received my RC in an, as best I can tell, unprecedented amount of time.

I am American, and the spouse of an EU citizen exercising treaty rights as PhD student. Before we were married, I was denied entry which made every subsequent entry a nightmare, even after we were married. Also, because I work internationally and need to travel frequently, the process of surrendering our passports made it impossible for us to be together for the last two years. This fall, I cleared my schedule so I could work remotely, and planned to sit tight in the UK for a full six months. I was shocked when my Residence Card (valid until 2018) arrived today, just two months later.

I'm uncertain if this was a contributing factor in speeding up the process, but I did alert my MP and the European commission to the situation- especially after my COA disallowed me the right to work.

I hope this is an indicator of quicker turnovers for everyone from here forward!

It is pretty clear that it's been deal with very quick because of his nationality (American), home office discriminate agains people nationality big time, if you read so many people review here you will see they been waiting for month and month. Shame on you uk border agency

How is it obvious that the quick turnaround is due to the applicant being a US Citizen?

I believe the OP should complain. Applications by Americans should never take longer than 17.5 days.

I wish I were American as my PR application took 10 months (although this was in the good old days when all applications took more than 6 months).

17.5 days for residence card application for American Citizens to be processed. very interesting. What is the legislation or policy governing that.

Any link will be hugely appreciated. Might even prove very valuable in litigation cases.

You are pulling my leg, very funny. I will really not put anything past UKBA, they always have this secret policy, which they sometimes release and smetimes don't.

if you read deeply the thread called EEA2 TIMELINE then you will know that many applicants got relatively more unprecedented turnover than you means less time than yours. Its really depend on an individual caseworker as how efficient he is despite attaching all relevant documents.
