Switching from Tier 1 General to Tier 2 General

Post by Eastgate31 » Wed Jan 23, 2013 11:16 am

My current visa (Tier 1 General) expires in April 2013. I am currently in the process of applying for a Tier 2 General with my employer. I have been with the organisation for over 2 years. They are certified to sponsor and are working on posting the position (to cover the Resident Labour Market Test) next week.

Since I have already been in position (is permanent and meets the salary requirements), does the RLMT need to be done? And if so, do I need to apply for the position? I've gotten both yes and no on this question - which is kind of important!

Just looking for more guidance/advice on transitioning!
