Processing of ILR Applications in Sheffield PEO

Dear All,

I have my ILR appointment at Sheffield PEO on 18th Feb 2013. I have heard that UKBA has a lot of backlog and also know couple of friends who did not get their documents back on the same day. This happened back in Oct/Nov 2012.

Can anyone who has recently applied for ILR successfully at the PEO let me know if the passport and other documents were given back the same day? Does the time of the appointment play a role in this?
