Post by Deepa999 » Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:48 pm

Hi All,

Recently i got ILR, due to continuous residency reasons I haven't applied my spouse VISA, so one parent on ILR and other on Tier 1 dependant valid for next 9 months

Help needed here

1. My Twin babies(<5 Yrs) born in UK , Am i eligible to apply for their British Passports??

2. They were out side the country for long time >1 yrs in last 3 yrs time
is this will be problem?

Kindly help, Thanks in Advance

They are British Citizens if you had ILR on the date of their birth. Is that the case?

Otherwise, you need to register them.

There is no residence requirement.

They will qualify under Section 1(3).

No absence requirement. If they are born in UK then they don't even need to apply for passport. Their stay in UK is legal as they didn't enter UK unlawfully :D
