Child born abroad to parents who have ILR

Hi,

What would be a status of my child who born abroad and what documents does he need to travel to UK ?

Me and my wife are on ILR and living in UK.

The child would have no status with regard to the UK. The child must apply for settlement visa to live with the parents in the UK.

When the child will be eligible to get ILR and British

If I apply for a visa then When the child will be eligible to get ILR and British passport.

You can register the child after 3 years of stay in the UK at dicsretion of minister

I believe a child born abroad would find it difficult to register as BC if both his parents are not British citizens.

If a parent applies for BC, then a young child can apply at the same time.

Yes you are right.

I also believe you could add the child to the naturalisation application, and he/she will be registered at the time of your application, provided you meet the criteria for naturalisation.

I believe such registration will fall under Section 3(1) registration.

In those circumstance, i don't believe 2 ears residence for the child will be required, if he or she is under 13.
