Is NI number necessary?

Is NI number necessary?

Hello,
I am suddenly curious if I need NI number even if I am applying as a directory of company.
Because I haven't had yet.

NI number enable you to pay NI contributions in the UK on your earnings. Based on the information you have provided you will still need NI number. If you withdraw money from your business in terms of salary or wages you need to pay your NI Contributions. Class 1. The only exception is the dividends where you dont need to pay NIC.

yes i know I need a Ni number to pay tax and stuff. but Apparently it will take a while to get it, and I am wondering if it is okay to apply tier 1 visa application without the number.

No. Not required if you are a director of ltd company.
