Delay with personal Interview for ILR

Post by kumarilr13 » Fri Jan 25, 2013 8:50 pm

I register in this site few days ago and had raised few question. I am very much happy with the answers i am getting from the experts.
here is my friends situation if some one could help him.
He entered UK on a student visa in 2006 and while he is here in Uk he got HSMP (self employed with part-time job) on 15-9-2007 to 15-9-2009 (2yrs) and got extended from 28-10-2009 to 28-10-2012 (3ys) (HSMP self employed and part time job). It seems clear so far but here are the troubles.

In March 2008 he had an issue with fraud bank cheque and he got arrested and released on the same day. In 2009 august he went to court and he explained to judge that was not an intentional act. He got 150 hr community service as punishment.

During his qualifying period for ILR he was away more than 180 days for business purpose and he able to justify that with out a problem.

His lawyer applied for ILR personal interview 15-10-2012 and the caseworker said this case is under senior caseworker consideration and this might take time. In november his lawyer phone case worker and they suggested him to go for extension if he want. But my freind want to withdraw his application and then, According to his lawyer after december there was a change in rules and the lawyer said for sure my friend will get ILR. But so far he didn't hear anything from UKBA.

Your inputs are much help full.

You are passing on incomplete and hearsay information about a third party. It's impossible to comment in such circumstances. Otherwise, have him join the forum and give the facts first hand. If your friend has a legal advisor (and you seem to think he does) then stick with that rather than your confusing him further.

Anyway, this was posted in his concert. If you feel he need to register and is just a matter of registration ,probably he will and post the same thing. He just need a few experts advise and inputs in addition to his lawyer, More over i feel the same since he is waiting for several months.
