PSW to Tier 1 General Initial extension

Dear friends,

I'm currently in Tier 1 (PSW) visa category. My visa expires on 01.03.2014. I would like to extend my visa from PSW to Tier 1 general. Could anyone clarify my question.

Is it possible to convert my PSW to Tier 1 general? I heard that this extension is stopped by UKBA at the moment. I dont know how true it is?

Could anyone help me on this please.

you cannot convert your Tier 1(PSW) to Tier 1 (general) as the Tier 1(General) route is closed. only people with Tier 1(general) can extend their stay.

So, is there any other way for me to extend my visa after my PSW expires?

go to UKBAs website & click on working in the UK link, there you can see all different types of immigration categories under which you can work in UK, see what best fits you

if you work for a company that can sponsor work permit for you then you can easily switch into Tier2

yes as manka has suggested tier 2(general) will be the best option if you can manage to get a sponsor.
