Going to UK as a foreign student in order to immigrate..?

Post by Ben10 » Mon Jan 28, 2013 1:47 am

I wanna study in the UK in order to get my permanent residency after graduation (or at least open work visa and then apply for it), is that how it works in the UK? I am planning to study Nursing, by the way. I wanna become a registered nurse.

Thanks for help :)

it wont work like that, you are welcome here to do studies of whatever course you want. once you done you have to leave the country and if you interested to come back

you have options

tier 1 entrepeuner
tier 1 exceptional talent
tier 1 invenstor

and others as well. you cannot stay here for 10 years straight to get the ILR.
Kind Regard,

Studying in the UK is not an automatic route to settlement. Plus their is no 'Open Work Permit' kind of visa anymore. You can only switch to sponsored work permit after a difficult process.

On Tier-1 visas you need have and spend alot of money plus you need to fullfil many conditions.

Foreigners cannot even study nursing in the UK, as the course is fully paid for by the NHS, only a settled person or an EU citizen can study Nursing courses in the UK.
