Successful ILR at Solihull PEO - 25 Jan 2013 (HSMP & Tie

Post by matiq » Mon Jan 28, 2013 3:25 pm

Hi all

First of all I would like to Thank to everyone who had been very helpful by replying my questions and specially to the one who set this forum up!

I applied with 2 dependents (wife and daughter) who were my dependents since first leave and LLR. I have a 3 year old son who was born here, I shall apply for his registration later.

Appointment was at 10:00.

-Arrived at 09:30
-Passed through security and was given a number
-At 10:00 called to see officer. He asked to see documents one by one. He then asked for photocopies of everything at once at the end.
-At 11:00 officer was happy and told me to pay and wait to be called for biometric
-At 11:15 we were called for biometric
-At 11:30 They said It will take about 1.5 hours, We can leave the building and come back at 1:00PM to collect documents
-At 1:00 PM We returned to the PEO, The officer congratulated us and returned all original documents with 3 Approval letters

Documents requested:
-Set (O) form
-Passports (Old and New)
-Life in the UK pass certificates (For me and Mrs)
-Payslips (12 months)
-Bank statements (12 months)
-Cohab documents (Last 2 years council tax bills, Letter from GP confirming cohabitation, Water Bills for Last 2 years)
-Photo Copies of all of above except form

NOTE:
-I had allot of other cohabitation documents but officer didn't asked
-They didn't asked for last 5 years P60s or equivalent

I would recommend Solihull PEO based on my experience.

I am now waiting for BRP's and expecting them soon because weather should not cause any delays now. Let's see :)

I am happy to answer any questions!

Hi Matiq

Can you please tell me how many absences
You had in 5 yrs ? I am planning to submit
Exact set of documents for my Peo on
12-feb. I have 187 days absence in total
With one absence of 84 days.

I understand from new rules that this is not
An issue and I don't need to submit proof
As well. I am not planning to submit any
letter from employer. So but worried that
Caseworker should not ask

Thanks

Congratulations!

I have read on various threads that Solihull PEO first checks the document, if you all ok then they ask you to pay fee?

Did it happen to you same way?

Thanks.

IT SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE! and I understand all of those absences were A/Ls etc and none of those leaves were due to serious reason. better take the letter from employer for those 84 days one

Thanks for your reply Matiq

"IT SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE! and I understand all of those absences were A/Ls etc and none of those leaves were due to serious reason. better take the letter from employer for those 84 days one "

All the absences were due to annual leave, couple of them were to attend close relative marriages. I wanted to mention this as reason for absence but not sure if they will take it as serious/compelling. I am just going to mention as "To attend sister's wedding (Annual Leave)", hope its ok.

For the 84 days, I cannot get letter from employer as my employer doesnot encourage the same. Not sure what to do about it. can I just not say that proof is not required for Tier 1 please?

Could you please tell me about your absences?

You are right that for Tier(1) it is not required to provide letter for absences. I was suggesting just to play safe

I would suggest to just fill all of them as A/Ls and provide non serious/compelling reasons and you will be all good!

. Hi, congratulation, matiq. My visa was issued in 31\12/2004...... First entry to uk in 16/4/2005 My question is: - -if I want to apply for 10 years long residence, should I account from first issuing of visa or first time entry to uk. - - my waif and son have visa issued in the same date, but they followed me in 4/6/2005.... Is that mean they broken their visa for absence of 6 month out of uk.

Hi Matiq, Thanks for your quick reply. Its a good idea to mention everything as annual leave. I will just mention annual leave to visit family for everything.

I dont suppose you meant even the 84 days as annual leave? That will not be accepted by the caseworker right? I have to mention it as Business trip and try to explain that I didnt get proof as its not required for Tier 1 holders if absences is less than 180 days a year. This is the only hope based on which I am going for my PEO on 13th Feb. Praying that it all goes fine. Wish me luck :-)
