Registering as a director

Post by daYZman » Tue Jan 29, 2013 1:16 am

Hi,

Can a Tier 4 holder be registered as a director of a business (in the UK) but not work for it during their time in the UK?

Thanks

IMO that would still be against the rules. Wait for others to confirm as well.

Right. That's a bit strange though, because even non-residents can register a company at Company House.

On Tier-4 visa, you cannot take a part in any kind of business activity either you are getting any financial benefit from it or not.

All visas have their own specific terms. Non-residents on business visit visas can open a copmany in UK but they cannot study full time degree course in UK.

I think its against the Tier 4 rules but because you don't really show income unless you file return for director its some how possible
