Do I need to contact UKBA?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if someone could advise me on what I should do. My partner and I made his RC application in November (he is here on a family permit, unmarried partners). I am employed as a full time teacher through a teaching agency, however when we made the RC application, the headteacher at my school wrote me a letter confirming I am working with them. I have been at this school for a year and a half however my contract ends in 3 weeks. As of yet we have heard nothing from ukba so I was wondering if I should have my agency write a letter explaining how my contract at this school is ending and that I will be working at a new school as of the 25th of Feb...and that they should contact the agency to confirm my employment!!!

I was really hoping that the RC would have been sorted by now, even tho it was wishful thinking...

Who is your employer, the agent or the school? I suspect it is the agent. What did you put on the form?

If it makes you feel more comfortable, by all means write to UKBA clarifying the situation.

do not inform ukba if they decide to confirm your employment they will call your employer (agency) of which they will be told you are still working for them period . whether your employment will finish/start in February doesn't matter .

ukba are heartless they dont need clarification any slightest thing they see they refuse your application straight away.

My employer is the agency, however since i had been at this same school for a year and a half, they were more than happy to write the letter for me...so on the form i put down the school....it was faster than waiting for the agency to write me a letter....just getting concerned that if they call the school after I leave they will refuse our application....

YOU SHOULD HAVE WROTE THE AGENCY(EMPLOYER) IN YOUR APPLICATION FORM AND NOT THE SCHOOL(WORKPLACE) PRAY THAT THEY DONT CALL TO CONFIRM YOUR EMPLOYMENT.

When my husband applied for his EEA2 in 2007 I was working, but a month later I changed jobs. We didn't inform Home Office of this change and they never checked.

However, for peace of mind perhaps you should send them a letter to confirm your change of circumstances and enclose a letter from your agency confirming that they are your employer. Make sure you send the letter by registered post or special delivery and keep the receipt as proof of postage.

Thank you, I will try calling them to see if I can get through to someone and see about clarifying this. At the very least I will send them a letter from the agency confirming my employment.

If i were you i will not inform them because that will be a good basis of refusing the application. Wait and see the outcome of the application, you will definitely on appeal if they venture contact your school and refused the application of i dont think that will happen.
