The savings question?

Post by VANSH » Thu Jan 31, 2013 9:24 am

I am going to apply for my partner's visa soon but i have something to ask about savings which need to be abover 16,000.

I have £6,000 in one account and 12,500 in the savings account. The problem is the saving accounts has not been used in awhile by it therefore there have been no statements for the last couple of months, would i still need to take out six months worth or can i just take out the latest one, in my other account which i put money in i have six months worth of statements.

How much is your shortfall in income? The calculation for the amount of savings you need is £16000 + shortfall x 2.5 so unless your shortfall is very small £18500 is unlikely to be enough.
