Question about work permit in France and dependents/family

Post by mrmoose » Thu Jan 31, 2013 9:30 am

Good morning

I'm looking into accepting employment in France and need to confirm that family members are allowed to join me on the work permit I would receive. My mother is dependent on me financially, and she is the only family I have and I am the only family she has. Please could you confirm whether I would be able to include her in my work permit application, and whether she could then join me in moving to France? As I understand it, there is a Retirement visa (she is older than 65) that would be an option otherwise, but I'm trying to clarify whether she could simply join me on the work permit anyway.

Thank you.

Just to mention that I'm a non-EU citizen.

The same question applies to Belgium please.
