Post by romi.550 » Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:07 pm

We Applied a Visa via solicitor on 1st week of July 2012
Acknowledgement received on 28 of July 2012
sent my English language test on 25th of aug 2012
Biomtric letter on 17th Nov 2012
Biometric sent on 29th Nov 2012
And now Waiting, I know its silly to ask, but could anyone tell me why HO taking so long, or if there's any chance to get a visa ?

Didn't your solicitor query the validity of your marriage? Very few mosques in the UK are registered to perform weddings recognised under UK law. If you've been living together for at least 2 years and can prove this, you could have applied as an unmarried partner. This isn't going to be a quick fix to your situation and there's no guarantee of success. What does your solicitor say? Did your solicitor apply for FLR(M)? You didn't have a valid visa to extend.
Even straightforward applications within the rules are taking around 8 months to process.

I believe your solicitor should have advised you to apply for FLR(O). It doesn't appear that your marriage is legal.

I'm really devastated don't know what to do now. my wife is british born and on really good wage.
