Judicial review treasury solicitor asking for 21 days

Post by staybless » Thu Jan 31, 2013 4:53 pm

I applied for judicial review to court after PAP on my legacy asylum case and the treasury solicitor was served with all documents. The treasury solicitor is now asking for my solicitor to give him another 21 days so that home office can get back to him. Why does the treasury solicitor wants another 21 days?

You have already answered your own question. The treasury solicitor acts on the instructions of the home office and it seems like they need more time to obtain these instructions.

thanks. I was wondering why they need more time when the ukba have all the evidence to act immediately. Just dont know why the delay or what the ukba are upto this time.

Someone in the Jr team at ukba needs to physically look at the evidence and instruct TSol on how to proceed. The delay i would imagine is to do with volume of work.
