SET O Form Questions (Tier 1 -G)

Post by abc111 » Sat Feb 02, 2013 11:41 am

Hi,

My ILR is due in June!

Date line:
01/07/2008 -FLR awarded based on out-of- country wokpermit.
08/08/2008 -Entered UK
July 2009 -Switched to Tier 1 (G)
January 2012 -Tier 1 (G) extension approved until January 2014
* Completing 4 years 11 months on June 2013 based on EC (FLR)
** Completing 4 years 4 years 11 months in July based on Entry to UK

The following question if someone could advise:

1. SET (O) form asks that if you have spent 5 continuous years in the UK. If I go for June application then can I include time from 01/07/2008 (FLR issue) for this? This wil still make time as 4 years and 11 months!!

2. I take it based on 28 early rule I can apply anytime after 3rd June 2013.

3. I am including my work permit stay of 1 year, which documents should I include? My residence permit for that in endorsed on passport and I have Work permit letter. So I think that will suffice!

4. In order to show economic activity: I will get letter from HMRC covering my all UK employment as well as letter from my chartered accountant showing tax docs for my brief self employment. Will this be Ok? Or I need more that that?

5. We have a kid UK born. I am not going for his ILR is this Ok?
6. We receive child benefit, would this be an issue?!

7. On day of application, should we just take filled SET O form with us. We will make premier application, in-person. Will we make payment AFTER application has been approved or BEFORE it?

Thanks.
