Financial requirement-any compassionate exceptions?

Post by hrw81 » Sun Feb 03, 2013 8:36 pm

I'm a UK citizen, my partner is in the US. I do not currently earn the required £18,600 and yes I know this is that magic figure. However, does anyone know if there are any circumstances where a decision can be made compassionately? We have just discovered that I am pregnant; unplanned, unexpected and awful timing. I have two children from a previous relationship and I do not want to uproot them and move to the US. Does anyone know of someone who has been in a similar situation since the rules were changed? Or just any advice would be extremely welcome.
Thanks in advance
