FLR(O) parent of a child in uk

Post by pritzy_18 » Mon Feb 04, 2013 3:18 am

Anyone can help me with the FLR(O) Parent of a child in UK.

Im currently in UK under Post Study Work(PSW) granted in the 23 July 2012 with a validity until 22 July 2014. I first came here under student visa (Feb 2010-June 2012) and later on applied for PWS visa.

I am soon going to give birth to my first child who's father is British. We recently slip up but we still communicate and remain friends for the sake of our child, as both of us want to take part in the upbringing of our child

Im planning to expend my stay under the FLR(O) parents of a child in UK. However, I got some concerns with some of the requirements for this route:

*Financial requirements: I found a section in UKBA site where it state the financial req for FLR(O) application made outside UK (£20,000), Just wondering if it is still the same with the application made in UK.
*when is the appropriate time to apply for this route?do i have to apply now or do i have to wait until 2014 when my visa is near to its expiry date.
*what sort of document do i need to present to prove that im the main carer of my child? And how many proof do i need to submit?

Thank you for your help!
