DISCRETIONARY LEAVE TO REMAIN

Post by MAKATENDEKA » Mon Feb 04, 2013 1:30 pm

I have been a silent reader of this forum for 5 months. Thank you for this great forum.

Im currently on a 5 yr work permit expiring 05-09-13. However, I applied for ILR under 10 year route on 4 Sept 2012 and still waiting for the decision.
My question is I have two children 24 and 19 who got 5 year discretionary leave to remain in 2008 after being refused visas as work permit dependents. However their visas will expire at the same time as my work permit, 5 sept 2013. Im not sure of what forms they need to use and what visas they are able to apply for. Please help[/b]

Just to let you know as far as my understanding is concenred. Be aware I am not qualified immigration lawyer.

You will have to fill FLR (O) for them, but if I was you I will call : 0870 606 77666 and I will take advice from UKBA immigration help line.

As your children are adults now and i am finding it difficult to understand how strong representation you can file for them to get settled here. If I was you I will get one of the best Immigration solicitor on this before applying.

I am afriad , I won't advice you any more then what I have suggested. its better to be safe rather then sorry. The UKBA is taking nearly half of year's time to process one application as a standard so be patient and think twice before making any application.
