Hi,
There are some "Phd level" indicated jobs under the NQF 6 level occupations such as:
2321 Scientific Researchers
Related titles: Research associate (medical), Research scientist, Scientific officer, Scientist
Section M / NQF level 6 (phd-level)
the only information given in the same document for this "phd-level" indication in brackets is :
"Some of these occupations are also skilled to PhD-level, where indicated. Jobs in these occupations are given additional points when allocating places in the Tier 2 limit, and have different criteria for satisfying the Resident Labour Market Test."
As a Tier 1 PSW holder I do not need to score points in the relevant section or RLMT anyway, however I am worried that this occupation is designed specifically for Phd graduates, Phd student workers/researchers in universities.
As a MSc graduate and PSW holder, if i am working in the research & development department of a manufacturing company as a NPD technologist (which can be modified as NPD researcher or scientist if needed), can I use this SOC code in my Tier 2 application?
Thanks in advance for your support.
