Salary kept in business account (self employed)

Post by dancing_leaf » Mon Feb 04, 2013 4:40 pm

Sponsor of Fiancée applying for Fiancé(e) visa to the UK

I’m self employed, and I’ve kept my salary in the business account (better rate of interest), therefore I only make small deposits into my personal account (< £18,000). Would it be possible to explain to the UK Border Agency that I’ve sufficient funds available (> £50,000) that I’m entitled to use to maintain myself and my dependant?

It’s unfortunate that according to the rules, I’m not able to combine self employment (3C) with cash savings (3F).

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
