EEA2-COA not arrived yet

Post by ymj » Thu Feb 07, 2013 5:08 pm

Hi,

I submitted my application on January 8th, 2013, but I still haven't got the COA yet. I called several times recently, and one lady told me she could not find my information in the system. But today I got a call from liverpool and they said that they are going to send back to me my passport (as I request for that) but they don't know any thing about the COA...

Is it normal that the COA not arrived after one month? what should I do? Any one has similar experience as I have.

Thank you for your reply. I am so sorry for the delay in your case.

I notice that some people applied later than I did, already got the COA.
If you look at my case, it's rather straightforward, so it concerns me that I still not yet got it.

Have you got the COA already? It's terrible that there is still none for me.

I wrote to the MP, no reply.

I pushed the embassy, still waiting for reply.

I even wrote to liverpool a letter, no reply.

I only got my passport back and i am able to travel!

I don't think it is a matter of how straightforward a case is - I believe that all applications are split between different caseworking teams, and it is "luck of the draw" whether yours goes to a team who work quickly (or not!). Seems the caseworking team allocated to my case were very efficient at sending COAs, but not very good at sending passports!

I'd recommend phoning your MP's office - they tend to treat Immigration enquiries very promptly.
