Post by luckyfawn » Sat Feb 09, 2013 8:16 am

Dear Sir/ Ma'am,

My son is registered as a British citizenship. Can he still apply for ILR?

Can someone kindly advise me please?

Thank you so much.

Thank you for prompt reply. Some countries don't allow for dual citizenship. He needs a UK visa ( no british passport, no citizenship) to keep being a citizen of that country.
So, can he still apply for ILR after being british citizenship? Any idea?

Thanks.

Well I think you r missing a point here. Your son is already a British Citizen. So if he has an other nationality say for example India, then he must information IHC and surrender his Indian nationality. And a fact that you haven't got a British passport for him doesn't mean that he is not British. Passport is only a travel document needed when someone wants to travel. Otherwise you may find some British origin people born here but they don't have British passport as they never need it.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
