No biometric permit letter after 2 months

Post by kokomarine » Sun Feb 10, 2013 7:19 pm

Hello all,

Last November I received a letter saying that UKBA received my FLR(M) application. But I haven't received the Biometric permit letter yet.
Should I be worried?
Also, this might be a stupid question, but I did a Biometric for my current Tier 1 almost three years ago (but no Biometric permit card) and I mentioned that in the application. Do I still need to do the biometric for FLR application?

Many thanks!

I think you both need to give UKBA a call to chase up

Thanks, z18runway.
Any idea on how to go about chasing up?
The phone number given seems to be only for after 6 months.

Oh, sanny26, sounds like you've already tried contacting them.
I know I might have to wait, but how are we supposed to check whether the letter was sent to a wrong address, Royal Mail lost it etc when we can't even talk to UKBA? How frustrating!

You haven't reached the magic 6 month mark yet, so you won't get any response until then and your MP is unlikely to be able to intervene before 6 months have passed. 8 months for processing isn't unusual at the moment. Back to an earlier question, yes you do need to have new biometrics for this application.

Sanny26, i understand how you feel just try a bit to exercise some patient, i know a lots of applicants that applied after July 9, on FLR (O) most still not receive their biometric letter if not all ,i even confirmed this from my solicitor last week ,he said some of clients that make application pre- July 9 just receives their letters, so for me my target is April, unless miracle happens, as Casa suggested earlier we haven't reach six month yet.

HO Phone: 0870 606 7766
When you dial this number don't select option 'to know progress of your application'. i think option 2. because it will play recording that u can't know before 6 months and hangs up...
You should listen to other options and select option 'for all other enquiries'
or 'to talk to representative'. I think option 4 that was . not sure but u will know when u will listen more options. and then u can talk to an actual human being.
