Which PEO is better for ILR ? for risky cases..

Hello All,

I have seen many comments on different PEO ?
Which one is better, please share views/experience ..

comments -
- Cardiff is not good for self employed, decisions generally not made on same day.
- appointments get full first for croydon then solihull, sheffield ....
- croydon cw are like MI5 agents !!

i have to apply for ILR on T2G workpermit (non-PBS) after 3-april-2013. I have 170 days absence, but some compassaionate reason and it can be split across 2 consecutive 12 month period but still feel its risky after checking with a solicitor !!

please help...

If an application isn't 100% straightforward all PEO applications carry a risk, no matter which one you choose. You'd be wise to apply by post.

I agree with Casa totally.Also the Solicitor too ,thinking on same lines.

Wise to apply by post as suggested above but if you want to risk it, apply at PEO Solihull as they deal with the case first and then take payment. So worst case scenario you don't have the headache that you will be losing 1400 odd quid. All the best

thanks for the valuable sugesstion.

i am thinking of applying at PEO because if i get to know the result, i can decide and apply for my extenstion of T2G before my current visa expiry.

yes one go, but have compassionate reasons - after one month of my sons birth he was hospitalised for 3 days and so to take care of him better i moved to india ...and then i got done 2 eye Laslik surgeries done.

It's a hit and miss. Totally CW's discretion. He/she may look at the absences(9 out of 10 times) it's the first thing they check when you go PEO. They may say due to absences you have to apply by post or may look into detail the proof you will provide for those absences. Try and book PEO Solihull

Why is it better to apply by post ?

postal applications takes 3-6 months, what extra checks thay do and why need so much time ?
why the chances by post are better than personal appointment for risky cases ?
in personal appointment we can discuss and clarify on the spot and get the results, so it should be better ?
postal applications take months and the current visa would expire, after we get to know the decision how much time do we have to reapply for visa ? i need to inform my employer as its T2G work permit visa. I guess now for PBS, it is quota system and CoS is required, can all this be done in the time available after the decision ?

As people said above, PEO is only if your case is not complex and you are not hiring solicitor.....

There is always a risk in PEO appointment that they take your money first and then see your docs. In that case, there is full risk of loosing money.

Moreover, process & checks are same both in PEO and post. Only diff is they do all the check in one go.

Yes, they see absences page first in Solihull. I attended Solihull last week, very good experience.

You aren't given the chance to 'discuss your case' at a PEO. Your documents are simply checked for validity. The PEO Case Workers don't have the authority to decide complex applications and have to refer on to a higher level.

I also have absences over the limit and was advised by my lawyer to apply via post, as I would be rejected at PEO straight away.
Apparently, when you don't have a straight forward case you are applying under "discretion" of the officer, in which case you have to go via long waiting time route.
