Doubts for Tier 1 (General) Extension PEO appointment

Hi,

I have got a PEO appointment for my Tier 1 (General) extension visa.

I have filled in the form but I have some questions that I would like to share with you and hear your opinions.

1. Do I really need a Cover letter? My case is simple and clear. Although I earned some salary overseas but I am not adding that on my application. Because I want to keep it simple.

2. Does it matter if my salary is close to start of the band or much higher than that? For example: If I am taking points for 40,000 to 49,999 GBP band, then will my case be better off if I mention say 44,000 including my overseas salary or 41,000 using just UK salary?

3. For maintenance fund, I can use either my Bank account (Salary) or another account (E-ISA). Does it make any difference if I use different accounts for Previous Earnings and Maintenance funds? Does it make my case stronger?

I know I am probably thinking too much, but your advice will be really helpful in making up my mind.
