I need some advice about a potentially confusing situation.

Hello,
I need some advice, and re-assurance really.
I am currently in the UK with an American passport. I am here as a visitor through the visa waiver program.
I am married to a British citizen, this summer will mark our 5 year anniversary.
My stay here ends mid March and I am going to Croatia.
Hubby and I have been spending time back and forth between UK and Croatia since the fall of 2010. More or less 6 months here 6 there.
I have a Croatian citizenship, and once I go back in March I will take out a Croatian passport.
Now that bit of background out of the way I have some questions I am not sure about...
- Come July will I be able to 'waltz in' with my Croatian passport?
- Will I have any problems because I was here with an American passport?
- Will I need any documents, other than my passport and marriage certificate, if so what?

I thought I have read that all the work restrictions that Croatian nationals will be facing will not be applied to Croatian spouses of British nationals.

Thanks in advance for any insight, the closer the date nears the more nervous I get.
