Visit visa questions - Applying to join UK Military

Hi everyone,

As above I have some questions regarding the short stay visitors visa (six months) and the correct way of filling in the online form (visa4uk). I would really like to have my application filled in correctly first time around so that I don't end up wasting my or anyone elses time and money, getting this done correctly is important to me. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Online form has a question "Do you intend to work during your stay in UK"
My answer to this would be No. I will stay in the UK and pay for what I need from my savings. Would this be correct/acceptable, since while I wont be working during the application and selection process to join the UK Military. If all goes well however I will be offered a contract at some point possibly during the visitors visa period.

2)
"Reason for visit" type questions its basically the same as above really.

Some extra information is that I cant get a work visa to go over for the application since the UK Military will not help with visa applications (sponsor a person I presume). The application is from overseas, overseas applicant must finish the application phase in the UK before being allowed into the selection/interview phase.

You should fill in with additional information to make clear your circumstances. Just out of interest, what is the turnaround time from making the army application to getting invited for selection process?
