Schengan visa for Indian Passport - Tier-1 visa

Post by kksrirams » Tue Feb 12, 2013 10:33 pm

Hi,

I am a UK resident with tier-1 visa valid till (renewal due for ILR) on 5th May 2013. I have been asked to travel to Spain on a business trip for 4 days from 11-Mar to 14-Mar. I have got a invitation letter from the company. I just need Schengan (Spain) visa single entry for 4 days only. Is it worth applying for the visa as I don't have 90 days valid visa in UK after my reurn from Spain. Please advice.

Thanks,
Sriram

When you ask whether it is worth applying, I presume your real question is whether they always follow what they have stated on their website? http://es.vfsglobal.co.uk/business_docu ... uired.html

I've never got a schengen visa from the Spanish consulate here, so cannot confirm. Each Schengen country consulate may have minor variations to their requirements. I would always go by what the individual consulate has stated. So in this case, the answer to your question would be, no.

The member states are obliged to follow this regulation. Read it and note any differences between what they state is mandatory and what is not in the regulation. The intention to leave the member state is what is important.
