Child born in India to parents both holding ILR in UK

Me and my wife both have ILR which we got in Sept 2012. My son was born in India on 14th Jan 2013.
My wife wants to travel back to UK in April so we have to get the visa sorted before she can actually fly. Can anyone please advice on the following:
::: What visa category should the child visa be applied for (Settlement or Dependent on ILR ?
:: How to apply from India ? VFS VISA4UK portal seems really generic and not visa type specific ...
:: What documents do I need to provide ?
:: Is there any addidtional sponsorship document required ?
