URGENT: RETURN OF DOCUMENT

Post by Krswami » Wed Feb 13, 2013 2:19 pm

Hi, I am sponsor for FLR(O) application for my Dad. He is applying extension to his earlier leave, as my visa got extended. Dad is with me in UK and the application was made from UK.

I need my passport and BRP card back for urgent travel on business purpose and my company can provide the letter if needed.

Question:

1. Will my father application FLR(O) be withdrawn if request for sponsor passport is made

2. Will I need to write the email with the document or my father

As the sponsor your can request the return of your passport. Here's a link to the form you need to complete..it's a word document. Be sure to make clear that the application isn't being withdrawn. The UKBA advise they aim to return documents within 20 days.

Complete the form as the sponsor. This is the section on the page you need:

'If you have applied under any other route and would either like to request that your documents are returned or would like to withdraw your application, you should complete the Return of document request form. You are advised to send a Word document of the application as we do not accept scanned copies.'

Urgent return of documents

Post by Krswami » Fri Feb 15, 2013 7:29 am

Hi casa,

Thanks, when I read the link I see below . My father application is flr(o), so will below be applied if I request my passport(sponsor)

"
For all applications other than European and nationality applications, if you request the return of documents, your application will be automatically withdrawn and your application fee will not be refunded. For certain application types travel on an applicant's passport will invalidate the application and it would be deemed withdrawn. Please check the guidance notes relevant to your application type for further details. Please ensure you take a photocopy of your document before sending it to us especially if you are likely to require a copy while your case is under consideration.

I think that refers to the applicant requesting his/her passport back.

Make it clear that your father is not requesting his passport. Make it clear that he is not withdrawing his application.
