Hi all,
will be very greatfull if i can get some help to go about changing my surname on my ISD for i need to apply for NTL stamp on my passport

you dont need to change the name... just like a birth certificate, you will have proof of how your name came from MR/S SMITH to MR/S JAMES (usually marriage). -

it might be a pain to carry it, but UKBA must provide you time to provide proof... if you explain you got married, then they should give you time to get the proof (if returning to the country without the proof, chances are you will get Temp Admission for 1-7 days, and be able to take the marriage cert or w/e to the port/local police or W.E.
