HSMP to Tier1: Visa Extension Fee.

Post by rammionline » Thu Feb 14, 2013 1:43 pm

Hi,

Firstly, I apologise if this is not the right place to post my question.

I came to London on HSMP visa in Aug 2008. My Visa start date was Apr-2008, but I came 4 months late after my visa stamp date, i.e in Aug-2008

In April-2010 my Visa was extended till April-2013 as Tier 1 General. As I'm in short of 4 months for my ILR now, I need to go for the visa extension for the 2nd time.

I'm bit confused about the extension fee. As per the below link, if I go for the premium service, do I need to pay £700.00 or £1800.00?
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... eral/cost/

Please refer these two points under "More Information":
  • 1. Tier 1 (General) application fees
    2. Tier 1 (General) application fees for applicants who are currently in the UK under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme
I do have my HSMP letter with me, and for the first extension I paid only £500.00 (if this may help you)

Can someone please answer me, if you are aware of this kind of situation.

Looking forward for the reply.

Thanks
