please advise on ILR applying for spouse

Post by ronnie012 » Thu Feb 14, 2013 3:21 pm

I am going to apply for my wife's Indefinate leave to remain in the next month .
my circumstances are that i am self employed earning a basic wage of £8000.00 per annum £666.00 per month and claim on joint names tax credit and working tax credit for my 3 children of around 600pounds per month
my house is fully owned ,my wife has just passed her life in the uk test

please can you tell me if my low wages and applying for tax credit/ working tax credit is going to effect her application

please can you tell me exactly what i need to send off

your replies would be really appreciated

thanks in advance

As you are under the 'old rules' (pre 9th July) your low income won't affect your application as long as you can show you are able to support yourselves financially...which it appears you can. You are claiming tax credits correctly in joint names. I'm giving you the link to the SET(M) form. Make sure you submit at least 6 different documents showing your joint address, spread as evenly as possible over the full 2 years. These should be from at least 3 different sources. They don't necessarily have to be in joint names, but include more than the 6 if all are in single names.
