The person was right actually. Para 319E allows for extension as a PBS dependent after the main migrant has ilr and is the most straightforward route.Obie wrote:Well person is wrong. This has been the case for a few months now. note it only applies where the main migrant has obtained ILR as a PBS migrant (e.g. after 5 years in the relevent categories). If the main migrant has obtained ILR under the 10 year long residence route, the old regime of having to apply on FLR(M) then SET(M) applies.Obie wrote:Interesting the rate at which these changes takes place.
I believe that change is one of the few favourable changes in the immigration rules, and it makes more sense than the previous system.
