Post by naseeri110 » Thu Feb 14, 2013 11:24 pm

I got my EEA2 in july 2011, now due to our jobs. my wife want to move to Norway for couple of a few years while i will be living in UK. my eea2 will be due to expire in 2016. i want to ask will be able to get eea2 again? as i know if my wife move out of country it is gonna hurt our continuity. and i will not be able to go on EEA4.

thanks

Well, if your wife leaves the UK permanently and move to another country, you lose your right to live in the UK as your rights are derived from her. You can't stay in the UK if you wife is not living here any more. Your RC becomes invalid. How would the HO know? Well, if you don't travel outside the UK, they will probably won't find out but still it doesn't mean that your stay in legal (even if your RC dates have not expired).

Thanks you so much guys. we will try to follow that 6 month rule. but in the event if any year she stay more then 6 month outside of the country. will be able to apply eea2 again in when this one expire? will it make HO any suspicious?

The HO just confirms your rights so if you (i.e. your EEA partner) meet the requirements there should not be any problem applying again for RC in a few years.
