Dear Members

My Tier 2 (G) visa is due to expire in July 2013, I got my first Tier 2 in July 2010 for three years as a Part Qualified Accoutant and my salary at that time was £17,000.
I have completed my ACCA exams in Feb 2011 and my current salary is £22,000.
The following information is available on code of practice ;
• ACCA Part 1 qualified £14,000
• ACCA Part 2 qualified £17,000
• ACCA Part 3 qualified £20,000
• Trainee in public practice, Foundation £13,000
• Trainee in public practice, Advanced £16,000
• Newly fully qualified £27,000
• Fully qualified with post-qualification experience £33,000

I will probably get some rise in Apr 2013, but I dont think my employer will pay me £27,000 or more.

Can someone please clear my doubts on appropriate salary for my visa extension?
Also, what would be the job tile on COS?

Thank you

Based on the info you have provided, at best you need to be on £27,000 to qualify for your next visa. How long ago did you finish the ACCA? If you completed all required exams long ago, it might be a case that you are expected to earn even above £27,000 because you wouldn't be considered 'newly qualified.' No solicitor would be able to change that for you.

It might be a case that you would need to find an employer willing to pay you the rate deemed appropriate by the SoC code that governs your role.

Hi physicskate

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate.

I have completed my ACCA exams in Feb 2011, but I am not a member yet, I dont know whether it makes me fully qualified or not, I need to ring ACCA to find out.

I have another question;
When I first got my Tier 2, my salary was £17,000 because I was part qualified at that time, after completing my ACCA exams I got increment and my current salary is £22,000, did we require to make a change of employment application based on my salary change due to completing my ACCA exams?

I have extension coming in Jul 13, and I don't know whether I need to make a change of employment application or extension application.

Really appreciate for response.

Thank you
