Tier 2 (G) visa - but lost the job

Hi,

one of my friend swtiched into Tier 2 (G) from PSW and now he has lost his job.The visa was granted for 3 yrs untill 2015 what will happen to him now? what option does he have ?

plz advice.

He has 60 days in which to find a new sponsor, or switch into another immigration category.

can i possibly ask you the name of the company that did agree to offer ur friend a sponsorship letter for a tier 2 visa to begin with? all the companies i've been offered jobs by dont sponsor even if they are registered as sponsors on the ukba list.
any help would be much appreciated

can you comment on what immigration categories that may be available to him ? he is trying to stay in the UK in any visa as he has already lived more than 6 yrs here (student+PSW+Tier 2) so want to satisfy 10 yr rule.

alco,i will ask my friend..but wt sort of job ur luking for ?

There is no loitering for settlement category. There is work, there is study, there is partner leading to settlement. There are many others so he needs to look at the UKBA information and see what is suitable to his circumstances; that's not something strangers on a forum can know or suggest.

thx Lucapoka..I ws just after options ppl who were in similar situations took.

if the options can be knows then my friend has select the best depending on his circumstances.
