5 years on different visa categories ?

Post by Gagan3456 » Sat Feb 16, 2013 6:54 pm

Hi,
A quick question but not very clear from any other posts.

I came to UK in May 2008 on work permit (Tier 2). Since then I have moved to Tier 1 general ending june 2013. I am planning to file ILR rather than extending Tier 1 visa before May 2013 as I would have completed 5 years in UK. (No major breaks in holidays etc).

Can I apply for ILR in may 2013 ?

You can as long as you qualify on all the criteria. Multiple visa isn't an issue as long as u don't have any gaps.
Thanks!

yes, work permit / tier 2 and tier 1 all lead to settlement after 5 years, hence you can combine leaves in these categories for your ILR.
