Tier 1 General - visa extension for Dependants

Post by kishor_mit » Sun Feb 17, 2013 8:01 pm

Hi Group,

I recently extended my Tier 1 General visa. I've two dependants, wife and a kid, currently there are in India. They already have a dependant visa valid up to April 2013. When they join me in the UK (in a week's time) I'm planning to apply for their dependent visa extension by post. I'm aware that it's going to take few months. But when it comes to applying I've the following query. Could you please clarify?

* Do I need to send (post) each dependant's application separately with individual set of supporting documents? OR
* Can I send both dependant applications together with a single set of supporting documents?
* Are these supporting documents sufficient?
[Main applicant's - BRP card xerox, passport front/back xerox, 3 months payslips, 3 months bank statements and 3 months fund maintenance statements and a letter from the bank]

I really appreciate your suggestions.

Cheers.

You can send both application together with single set of documents... If you are paying via postal order or bankers draft, can send a single payment for both of them...
On documents side, I dont think you need to send your payslip and bank statement to show your economic activity... proof of maintenance fund will be sufficient...

Post by kishor_mit » Tue Feb 26, 2013 11:12 pm

Hi Gurus

URGENT!! KINDLY REPLY SOON.

I'm applying for my dependants' Tier 1 General visa extension by post. My Tier1 (G) visa extension has already done through the PEO appointment and I've received my BRP card.

Could you please confirm whether the main applicant needs to send his original Passport and BRP card along with the dependants' application?

I'm in search of a new job, will there be any problem if I don't have originals with me? Will the employer accept xerox copies of BRP and Passport?

Look forward for your advise. Kindly reply at the earliest.

Regards
K
