Financial Requirements £18,000.00

Post by Aligul » Mon Feb 18, 2013 10:17 am

Hi
I am sponsoring my spouse from Pakista. My annual salary is £20,000.00. i have been working for the same employer for the last 5 years .I have last two P60s showing wages over 19,000.00. But there is one problem. We are paid on 4 weeks and 5 weeks basis. so everytime the amount is different on the payslip. How UKBA caculate the salary. as if they tyake the lowest in last 6 months and multiply it by 12. it only reaches 18,000 as it will be only for 48 weeks (lowest 4 weeks X 12). but if they add total in last six months its around £10,000.00 . I am really stressed. What can i do in this case. I really appreciate your input.

Kind Regards

Personally - I'd write a covering note and re-emphasise it whereever you can.

As well as a covering note (as suggested above) why not supply 12 months of payslips, and both P60s for the previous years too. This is more than they request but it removes any doubt as to your earnings and I think it would be difficult then to say you weren't earning enough.

I suspect they usually do the calculation of 'the lowest in last 6 months and multiply it by 12' simply to reach an approximation of the applicant's annual earnings. However, if you can supply a full years proof of income they can use that rather than having to do the calculation.

I wouldn't worry.

Agree with ID29.

Also get an employer letter to mention gross annual income along with the 12 months payslips.
